This blog is an inside look of beliefs, experiences, readings, and thoughts. It’s also meant to track my journey, my life, as a husband to one, father to seven (yes, you read the right), son to a wonderful mother, brother to 8 amazing siblings (including my sisters by law), uncle to too many to count… as a Christian man who knows he’s not perfect, but a work in progress.

Identity vs. Identifiers (Semantics)
My roles are not my identity though, they are identifiers and describers of what I do. My character is a part of me, who I am now. My identity is in Christ though, based on the person he is making of me to be day by day. My identity is who he says I am, and it will be completed in the day of Glory when I see my Lord and Maker. God is making me to the likeness of Christ. But don't get it twisted, I am not yet where I need to be, but I am also not where I was. I am a wretched sinner saved by Grace... Alone, through Faith Alone, in Christ Alone, according to Scripture Alone, to the Glory of God Alone. Yeah yeah, I am a TULIP Loving (The Doctrines of Grace), 1689 2nd LBCF carrying, Reformed Particular Baptist! ... with tats and piercings.
I am Mexican born, but a patriotic American at heart! (USA USA USA!) Still love and enjoy my heritage, especially Mexican food though. I love tacos! I love Salsa, the edible and dancing kind! Photography, but I am an amateur photographer compared to my wife (compared to everybody)! She's a pro though for sure! I love reading, mostly theology. I love sports, and follow all the L.A. teams in the following order: Dodgers, Chargers, Lakers, LAFC, L.A. Kings, Rams, Clippers, L.A. Galaxy and UCLA Football. Since Moving to the PNW, I have also fallen in love with the Mariners, Seahawks, the Sounders, the Kraken, WU Huskies, and the hope that one day the Super Sonics will be back in town! If only to see my L.A. basketball teams play up here. I'm kidding! Or am I? I have a love for the Brazilian community, so much I learned the language! Love Brazilian music, food, culture, and obviously the people. Just not in that order! I am a painter by trade. I have been in the industry for 25 years. Love the team of people I work with! I hope to create content for a vlog or podcast of sorts! Stay tune!
